A big takeaway that I learned from my design courses is put effort towards the process of your work and critiquing. Your designs can always be improved and worked on. They continually grow with you.
Designs for UNICEF: Office of Innovation
Together Project
Together Project is a student run movement inspired by the rise of increased racial prejudice in our country. The goal is to break down barriers caused by discrimination by bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to achieve change and impact.
Print Design / Manifestos
The brief was to create typographic designs expressing what you embody.
I began to think about what I've learned in University and what affected the nature around me. I realized that empathy, privilege, and identity was something I wanted to dive into further and what I believe is crucial to society.
our world is not perfect but taking small steps in realizing our own identity and our place in the world, we can empathize with each other a little bit better
Tshirt Design / Little Island Creatures
Little Island Creatures were inspired by my trip to Hawai'i. I created these two whimsical creatures that had their own personalities. I learned how to screen print each shirt by hand. It started off as an idea in my head that these creatures lived on the beach of Hawai'i but it grew into something larger that people loved and wanted more of.
Screen Printing Process
I screen printed over 150 t-shirts and sold out of them at my University's Cherry Blossom Festival. I was in awe of how many people enjoyed the shirts and characters.
